Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 15 May 2026
ParaHub works because advisers and paraplanners trust each other and trust the platform. This policy sets out the behaviour we expect. It applies to everyone with a ParaHub account.
1. No client personal data in messages
Do not share personal data about end clients through our messaging system. This includes client names, contact details, dates of birth, National Insurance numbers, plan numbers, valuations linked to identifiable individuals, scanned documents, and screenshots that show client information.
Use ParaHub to find and shortlist paraplanners. Once an engagement is set up, move client materials to a secure channel under your firm's data protection arrangements.
2. No harassment
Treat other users with respect. Threats, abusive language, discriminatory remarks, and any form of harassment are not allowed. Robust feedback is welcome, but it should be professional.
3. No fake reviews
Reviews must be based on a genuine engagement and written honestly. Do not:
- Write reviews about paraplanners you have not engaged.
- Offer or accept incentives in exchange for a review.
- Use multiple accounts to inflate or attack ratings.
- Write reviews about your own profile or your competitors.
4. No impersonation
Sign up as yourself. Do not claim qualifications you do not hold, firms you are not part of, or identities that are not yours. Profiles must reflect the person behind the account.
5. No spam
Do not use ParaHub to send unsolicited bulk messages, marketing pitches unrelated to paraplanning engagements, or repetitive contact requests after a user has declined. Use the inbox for what it is designed for: discussing potential paraplanning work.
6. No illegal content
Do not post, share, or transmit any content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that contains malware. This includes copyrighted material you do not have permission to share, defamatory statements, and anything that breaches financial services regulation.
7. Account security
Keep your password to yourself and do not let anyone else use your account. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us straight away.
8. Reporting
If you see something that breaks this policy, use the report button on the user's profile or email trust@parahub.co.uk. We review every report.
9. Consequences
Where a user breaks this policy, we may take one or more of the following steps depending on the severity and history:
- Warning: a private note from the ParaHub team explaining the issue and what needs to change.
- Suspension: a temporary block on access to the platform while a matter is investigated or while you have time to correct behaviour.
- Permanent ban: permanent removal from the platform. We use this for serious breaches, including sharing of client personal data, fraud, harassment, and repeated breaches after warnings.
We may act without prior warning where the breach is serious or where users on the platform are at immediate risk.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We will give notice of material changes through the platform or by email.
