Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 May 2026
1. About ParaHub
ParaHub is an online platform that helps St. James's Place (SJP) advisers find and connect with paraplanners. These terms govern your access to and use of ParaHub.
By creating an account or otherwise using ParaHub, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Introducer only
ParaHub acts solely as an introducer. We provide a directory and messaging tools that allow advisers and paraplanners to find one another, communicate, and decide whether to work together.
ParaHub is not a party to any engagement, contract, or working arrangement entered into between an adviser and a paraplanner. Any contract for paraplanning services is formed directly between those two parties and is their responsibility.
3. No payment handling
ParaHub does not process or hold payments between advisers and paraplanners. Invoicing, payment terms, taxes, and any disputes about fees are matters for the adviser and paraplanner to resolve directly.
4. No warranty as to quality
ParaHub does not warrant, endorse, or guarantee the quality, accuracy, suitability, or compliance of any work produced by a paraplanner found through the platform. Advisers remain responsible for the advice they give to their clients and for any work product they accept from a paraplanner.
Profile information, qualifications, and reviews are provided by users. While we take reasonable steps to keep the directory tidy, we do not verify every claim and you should carry out your own checks before engaging a paraplanner.
5. Client data and confidentiality
You must not share personal data about end clients through the ParaHub messaging system. This includes names, contact details, dates of birth, National Insurance numbers, plan numbers, valuations tied to identifiable individuals, or any other personal information.
When you start a paraplanning engagement, share case material through appropriate secure channels and under your firm's data protection arrangements. ParaHub is for finding and shortlisting paraplanners, not for transmitting client files.
6. Reviews
Reviews on ParaHub must be:
- Based on a genuine engagement with the paraplanner you are reviewing.
- Honest, accurate, and written in good faith.
- Free of personal attacks, defamatory statements, or any client information.
Fake reviews, reviews left in exchange for incentives, and reviews written about competitors you have not worked with are not allowed and may result in removal of the review and suspension of your account.
7. Your account
You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity on your account, including keeping your password confidential. Let us know promptly if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.
8. Suspension and termination
ParaHub reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any account that breaches these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will give you notice and an opportunity to respond, but we may act without notice in serious cases (for example, where client data has been shared, or where a user is impersonating another person).
9. Intellectual property
The ParaHub name, logo, software, and content (other than user submissions) are owned by ParaHub. You may not copy, reproduce, or re-publish them without our written consent. You keep the rights to any content you upload, but you grant us a licence to host and display it on the platform.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ParaHub is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the platform, including any work carried out by a paraplanner you find through the service, any disputes between users, or any inaccuracies in directory information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will give you reasonable notice through the platform or by email. Continued use of ParaHub after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
